About the Project
The Lake County Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Infrastructure Plan is a countywide effort to expand access to electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling stations. Led by the Lake Area Planning Council (APC), this plan helps Lake County prepare for the growth of zero-emission vehicles, support state climate goals, and ensure all communities can benefit from clean, affordable transportation options.
Through data analysis, stakeholder coordination, and public engagement, the plan will identify where infrastructure is needed most. It will include siting recommendations, funding strategies, and implementation actions aligned with local and state priorities.
Project Goals
•Identify existing gaps and forecast future charging and fueling needs.
•Support equitable access to clean transportation across the county.
•Recommend high-priority locations for public EV charging and hydrogen fueling.
•Position Lake County to compete for grant funding and integrate with statewide ZEV networks.
